Directions	Our historic address, "One Towpath Square," commemorates the towpath for the old Morris Canal that used to run through Dover. Harry Loory had fond memories of swimming in the canal as a boy. He erected the stone on Bassett Highway in memory of the Morris Canal's old route, and he named the intersection of Bassett and Prospect streets "Towpath Square."
Harry Loory Furniture (One Towpath Square, Dover, NJ 07801) is easily accessible via Routes 46, 80, 287, 10, 15 or 513. If you are familiar with Dover, Harry Loory's is across the street from what used to be the Dover Bowling Lanes. It is in the western end of the business district, and occupies the entire block between Blackwell St. and Bassett Highway. A word of advice: You will not necessarily find accurate directions to "Towpath Square" on a map or navigational device. In 2010, lengthy construction work began on the bridge at the intersection of Routes 46 and 15 at the western end of Dover. Use the following directions that reflect the changed traffic patterns, or call us at 973-361-2244.
Route 80 (coming from the east): Take Rt. 80 West & exit 35A to Dover. This puts you on Mt. Hope Ave. You will see the Rockaway Townsquare Mall on your right. Stay on Mt. Hope Ave. as it winds down the hill. Cross through the traffic light at Rt. 46, and go to the next full-fledged traffic light. Turn right on Blackwell St. Make a right at the last traffic light (Prospect St.) You'll see the large Harry Loory Furniture sign.The entrance to our store is in the middle of the block with parking on either side. (coming from the west): Take Rt. 80 East & exit 35 to Dover. This puts you on Mt. Hope Ave. Follow above directions.	Route 15 (coming from the north): Take Rt. 15 South into Dover. (Rt. 15 becomes West Clinton Street). The road curves downhill into Dover. Turn right at the traffic light onto Pequannock St. Go one block. Turn right onto Bassett Highway. Go one more block. Turn left at Towpath Square. Harry Loory's main entrance is on your right, with parking on either side.
Routes 10 & 513 (coming from the east): Take Rt. 10 West. You will pass several car dealerships on your right. Then the road will begin to go downhill. You will see a sign saying Dover / Salem St. Turn right onto Salem St. (You will pass the KMart Shopping Plaza.) Follow Salem St. to the end. Turn left onto Blackwell St. Stay on Blackwell St. all the way to the western end of the business district. At the 5th traffic light, turn right. You are at Harry Loory's. You may park on the street or turn left into one of our parking lots on either side of our main entrance. (coming from the west): Take Rt. 10 East. Take the Rt. 513 jughandle north, and follow Rt. 513 all the way to Dover. When you come to the traffic light at Blackwell St. you will see Harry Loory Furniture in front of you. Do NOT turn right onto Blackwell St. Instead go straight across the intersection. You can park on the street or swing left into one of the parking lots beside our entrance. Rt. 513 (coming from the south): Take Rt. 513 North all the way into Dover. Follow the above directions.	Route 46 (coming from the east): Take Rt. 46 West into Dover. You'll pass the football field and East Dover Middle School on your right. Continue 3 blocks and make a left at the first traffic light by Walgreen's. This is Mercer St. Follow Mercer St. to end and make right onto Blackwell St. Stay on Blackwell St. all the way to the western end of the business district. Make a right at the last traffic light (Prospect St.) You'll see the large Harry Loory Furniture sign.The entrance to our store is in the middle of the block with parking on either side. (coming from the west): Due to 2010 bridge construction, you will not be able to take Rt. 46 all the way into Dover. Use the directions to get to Harry Loory's via Rtes. 80, 10, and 15.
Route 287 (coming from the north): Take Rt. 287 South to Route 80 West and follow directions above. (coming from the south): Take Rt. 287 North to Route 10 West (Dover), and follow directions above.	(click here to go to Yahoo Maps & get specific directions from your location)
